Our History

Ursula Notari grew up in Switzerland, and as a young girl worked in a "natural health" shop with her grandmother. Once or twice a year they would go to the Swiss sanatoriums, where hydrotherapy, massage, saunas and other natural treatments were used to keep people healthy, feeling great and invigorated.

In the late 1980's Ursula, her husband Luigino and their children moved to Australia. During the early 1990's Ursula formalised her studies in Naturopathy, while continuing a busy massage and bodywork practice at home. After graduating from College, she set up a humble clinic, which was the beginnings of the Adelaide Hills Natural Health Centre - Winner of the 2003 Telstra Premiers Choice small business award.

Ursula noticed that in Australia our healthcare system was very medically orientated and did not provide for individuals who chose to take care of themselves using such time tested methods, as had been used in her home country so successfully for many years.

While setting up and running the award winning business - Adelaide Hills Natural Health Centre, she continued to search for businesses offering such services so she could refer her clients to them - but to no avail.

In 2003 she decided she would set up such a business that embraces and uses the best of Swiss traditional health methods, and integrates the latest technology in health assessment. This was the birth of Swiss Wellness...
